A: Portland Beer Week is a 10-day celebration of beer in the greatest beer city on earth. Events are held at dozens of locations across the city and into the suburbs. The goal is to celebrate beer in a variety of forms, from tasting to pairing, educational, fun, unique, visually exciting. Craft beer reaches into many mediums and art forms.


Q: Why are there non-portland breweries and sponsors?

A: Portland Beer Week refers to a celebration in the city of Portland as a destination, not as in only Portland made or owned people, places or things. The idea is to celebrate craft beer in Portland, showcasing the multitudes of beer and Portland as the greatest beer city on earth. All craft breweries are welcome.


Q: Who can produce and hold portland beer week events?

A: Nearly anyone, place or business can take part in Portland Beer Week by signing up as a sponsor. The primary stipulations are that the event must take place in each years beer week timeframe, take place in the general metro area and that the events are in the spirit of beer week that the organizers intended.
